Is There a Strip Club in Airlie Beach?
No, there is no strip club in Airlie Beach. I’ve lived and worked here for 13 years and there has never been one. Instead, groups book a private stripper or topless waitress who comes to their accommodation or boat. Topless waiters start at $120 an hour and male strip shows at $400.
I’m Dave from Heart Reef Events. Before I started planning parties I spent 13 years working as a stripper and topless waiter myself, so this is a question I get asked a lot. Usually by a best man who’s just landed and is looking at his phone wondering where the boys are going after dinner.
What About the Nearest Strip Club?
Mackay is about two hours down the highway and Townsville is more like three and a half. Nobody wants to spend a bucks night in a car, and someone has to stay sober to drive. That’s why everyone in Airlie does it the other way round. The entertainment comes to you.
What Locals Do Instead: Private Strippers
A private booking is how bucks and hens groups have always done it here. You choose the time and place, the show is just for your group, and nobody gets knocked back at the door.
Topless waitresses and waiters
A topless waitress or waiter serves the drinks and keeps the party moving. It’s cheeky without going over the top, and it’s a great way to kick off the night before you head out. The ladies are $140 an hour and the boys are $120 an hour in slacks or $160 in underwear, all with a 2 hour minimum. If you want to turn it up a notch, a nude waitress is $260 an hour.
Strip shows
Male strip shows run 10 to 12 minutes for $400 or 20 to 24 minutes for $600, and you can choose nude or non-nude for either one. Our female XXX show starts at $700. It’s the most adults-only thing we offer, so I talk you through the details over the phone rather than on the website.

How a Private Booking Compares to a Club
A club makes you go to it, on its schedule, with a room full of strangers. A private booking flips all of that around:
- It’s your space. Only your group is in the room.
- You pick the timing. Do it before dinner or save it for the big finale.
- The guest of honour is the focus. The show is built around your party, not whoever else walked in.
- You know the cost before the night. Everything is in your quote, so nobody’s running up a tab they didn’t expect.

Heading Out After the Show
Once the show’s done, plenty of groups want to hit the town. Our “VIP nightclub package” gets you express entry into one of Airlie’s most popular night spots with your own reserved space, so you skip the queue on the main strip. I can book it to start right after your performer finishes, which keeps the night rolling without anyone standing around.
Booking a Stripper for Your Accommodation or Boat
Our performers come to Airbnbs, holiday homes, resorts, hotels and boats anywhere in Airlie Beach, Cannonvale, Jubilee Pocket and Shute Harbour with no location fee. Proserpine and Bowen depend on which performer you book, and the islands are quoted separately.
Before you book, check two things.
- The accommodation’s party policy. Some holiday homes and hotels ban bucks and hens groups outright, and some ask for a bond. If the party gets shut down, that booking can’t be refunded.
- The boat operator’s rules. Not every operator allows entertainment on board, so ask before you book the boat. If you’re not sure, ask me and I’ll check it for you.
The other mistake I see all the time is leaving it to the last week. Last-minute bookings are possible if someone’s available, but the best performers get booked out first.
